These “sushi” rolls are the cutest little morsels I have seen in a long while. Not only are they super fun to make, but they are super fun to eat as well. Your kids can pretend they are sushi chefs perfecting their craft, as they attempt to roll these beauties. For an added touch, have them eat the rolls with real chopsticks and watch the laughter erupt as they try figuring that out!
Prep time 5 minutes / serves 2
2 large whole wheat tortillas
2 bananas (the straighter the better)
Peanut butter (crunchy or smooth, your choice)
Your choice of jelly, jam or preserves. (optional)
- Give each kid a tortilla and have them spread peanut butter all over it.
- Repeat with jelly.
- Starting with the side closest to them, roll the tortilla tightly around banana until completely closed.
- Slice into sushi rounds and enjoy!
